ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Shari Jardina is a lifelong resident of Indiana and an avid nature and wildlife photographer. Photography has been a hobby for most of her life with very little formal training.
Over the years, photography has led her to discover the diverse beauty and wonders of our natural world. The many hours she spends with her camera are very peaceful and calming and her objective is to capture and preserve that beauty and, hopefully, convey its calming effects back to those who view her work.
Although her camera has helped her cultivate a deep appreciation of and respect for all wildlife and the environment, she is especially intrigued and fascinated by the majestic Wolf. Shari is honored to have spent many enjoyable hours in the presence of and photographing captive wolves.
In 2005, one of Shari’s photographs appeared on the cover of the Sept/Oct issue of Outdoor Indiana. Her photos have also appeared in Birds and Blooms magazine, and in The Eyes of the Wild, An Anthology of Poetry and Wildlife Stories. Her photographs have also received First Place honors at the Indiana State Fair, Riley Days Festival, and the Marion County Fair.
