The CrazyLake Plein Aire Painters will be featured at CrazyLake Art House
for the month of December!
Artwork is due and will be hung on Dec. 2. You can leave it with Sandie from 11 to 5, or meet me there at 7 on that day. Please join us on Dec. 12 for Hancock County's Second Friday event, which will probably be the biggest crowd for our exhibit. Also encourage family and friends to come check it out!
Local Artists:
We'd like to invite you to join CrazyLake Plein Aire Painters. This local group is sponsored by CrazyLake Art House and the Hancock County Arts and Cultural Council. The goal is to gather once a month to paint outdoors.
We will meet on site at 9AM on the specified Saturdays. We hope to wrap up around 3 PM with a group review and discussion.
At the end of the year, paintings from the group will be on display at CrazyLake Art House, where we will hold our Annual Meeting, plan the next year, and hope to have a guest speaker.
Annual fees are $10 for CrazyLake Art House members, and $25 for non members. One time visitors can pay a $5 fee.
Schedule for 2008:
June 14 - Downtown Greenfield's Courthouse Square Historic District. (This is planned to be a run-through for the Will Vawter Art Competition Plein Aire Contest.)
June 22, 12 - 5, Rotary Garden Tour
June 28 - Will Vawter Plein Aire Contest in Greenfield's Courthouse Square Historic District. Register between 9 and 10 am, Judging at 4:45. For the Art Competition, you can get a brochure at www.hcacc.net.
July 19 - Fortville's By Air, By Rail Festival
August 9 - Westwood Lake
September 27 - Downtown Shirley or Octagon House
October 18 - Tuttle's Orchard
November 8 - Hancock County Iron Bridge
December - TBA Annual Meeting and Exhibit
