About the Artist:

Peggy Lahey “Wynn”

Peggy Lahey was born in Blue River Township and has lived in Morristown most of her life, with some time spent in Topeka, Kansas and Danville, Illinois. .

She has had a lifelong interest in art, and as a child would paint with watercolors on glass placed over a work that she liked. When she was done, she would rinse it off and paint another favorite picture.

She began to paint seriously as an adult and has studied with the Famous Artists School of Westport, CT. She has also studied with local teachers Adele Wendel, who founded the Indianapolis Eastside Art Center. Others include the Indianapolis Art League, cousin Marilyn DeLaurentis, and Rosemary Lawton Thomas.

Peggy works in several mediums, including charcoal, pastel pencils, watercolors, oils and acrylics. She also enjoys glass, tile and fabric painting.
